Vestas V164-8.0 MW – a game changer in offshore

Each blade is 80 meters long. These offshore wind farms often have dozens if not hundreds of these turbines. 150 of these turbines equals the output of an average nuclear power plant with MUCH less operating and maintenance costs, let alone the safety and waste issues that nuclear power plants present. Add in the time to build a nuclear power plant and all of the other related political issues and you are looking at the wave of the future.
