Defying President Donald Trump, senators sent a strong signal Wednesday that they want to punish Saudi Arabia for its role in the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

Moscow, Nov 30 (UNI)

Members of the US Senate have unanimously endorsed a non-binding resolution condemning Russia’s actions in the Kerch Strait near Crimea where three Ukrainian vessels had been detained over crossing the Russian maritime border, media reported.

“Today, the Senate took action and sent a clear message to [Russian President Vladimir] Putin that his government’s aggression against Ukraine in the Sea of Azov will not be tolerated.
We strongly condemn any military action taken by Russia to unilaterally rewrite international rules,” said Sen.
Chris Murphy, who introduced the resolution alongside Sen.
Ron Johnson, said as quoted by The Hill newspaper.
