This is Virat’s way of returning a compliment.
In the first test at Adelaide Khawja took a brilliant catch to cut short Kohli’s innings.
Team India skipper, the 30-year-old Virat Kohli, who is a known tough competitor with the bat, took a brilliant catch in Perth today setting up an example for his team mates and the followers of the game.
On Day 1 of the 2nd Test in Perth, Peter Handscomb tried to steer a short Ishant Sharma delivery but Virat Kohli, a gifted fielder, stationed at second slip, timed his leap perfectly throwing up his right hand in the air, and completing a blinder in less than a second. Virat has taken a lot of such catches in his 10-year old career but this one clearly stands above the rest.
The game of cricket is thus blessed as Kohli raises the bar a few notches more.
