AUS 326, 243

IND 283, 112/5 (41.0 Ovs)

Day 4: Stumps – India need 175 more runs

India restrict Australia lead to under 300 runs

India began the chase, and as expected K L Rahul fell for a duck by the fourth ball of the innings. Pujara, Rahane, too, didn’t last long. All hopes on Virat and Vijay for India to win were short lived..

Now it is up to the last recognized batting combination – Pant and Vihari.

India lose becomes more apparent than Aussie win.

India’s last five wickets need just 5 genuine Aussie deliveries..Its just a matter of time for the pack of cards to collapse. The celebrations might have begun in Aussies camp..

It is a great chance for the home team to level the series 1-1.

Neither Kohli’s nor Shami’s heroics were enough.

In the event of India losing the test, the reporters become crestfallen. More sad than Rahul or Murli and they tend to renounce everything. They won’t be able to report any further and this post shall be demolished forever..

Usman Khawaja (72) and skipper Tim Paine (37) frustrated the Indian bowlers as Australia dominated the morning session on Day 4 of the second Test in Perth. Khawaja and Paine strung together a solid partnership for the fifth wicket.

Shami was at his hostile best and brought Aussies to 207/9 from 192/5. It looked like India would wrap up the ‘tail’ quickly, however the last pair put up a brave fight.

India saw a frustrating 10th wicket partnership-  Hazlewood/Starc – 36.

India now have a daunting task of chase. 287 the target.

Australia could not set the target to 300.

But, 287 will be too hard for India to get.

India’s openers are vulnerable, low on confidence, fear of being dropped looming in their heads

Lyon will use the rough, may become unplayable, its a 4th/5th day track now…

India’s tail is not as good as Australia’s.

Virat, Pujara and others will be over pressurized. It is not necessary that they will deliver every time…
