BJP activist appeals Sidhu for release of jailed Mumbai techie in Pak

Mumbai, Nov 29 (UNI) An activist of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday appealed to Punjab Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu to ensure release of a Mumbai techie, who is in a jail in Pakistan and slated for release mid-December.The 27-year-old youth from western suburb of Andheri, Hamid Nehal Ansari, who was accused of entering Pakistan illegally from Afghanistan side on November 12, 2012, is currently serving a jail sentence and expected to walk out free next month.

“A humble request to speak to Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan to expedite release of Hamid Ansari, who is serving term in a Pak jail.
Hamid completes his jail term in mid-December 2018.
His release will bring relief and joy to his aged parents,” said BJP activist Krishna Hegde, who is a former Congress legislator.
