Eight rebels have been apprehended and a seven-kg landmine appropriated during hot pursuit by law-enforcement personnel after a heavy exchange of fire in Dokkapara following a tip-off that ultra leaders were holding a meeting. See: Chattisgarh
“The arrests were executed late Thursday evening when the outlaws retreated in the face of overwhelming police action.
The accused were interrogated and subsequently incarcerated on Friday,” Superintendent of Police Abhishek Pallava said.
In another incident, Assistant Constable Renu Bhaskar was injured in a pressure bomb blast within Kakri forest when a team was returning after a three-day search operation.
He was admitted at the district hospital.
