New Delhi, Dec 1 (UNI)
Cricketer-turned-Punjab Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu on Saturday made a big U-turn over his decision to visit Kartarpur and said he never went there on the directives of Congress President Rahul Gandhi.”Get your facts right before you distort them.
Rahul Gandhi Ji never asked me to go to Pakistan,” Mr Sidhu tweeted.”The whole world knows I went on Prime Minister Imran Khan’s personal invite,” he said.

“This corridor holds promise, the promise to bring two neighbours closer”, said Punjab minister Navjyot Singh Sidhu at the function to lay the foundation stone for the Pakistan leg of the Kartarpur corridor linking Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Pakistan’s Kartarpur, the final resting place of Sikhism’s founder Guru Nanak Dev, to Dera Baba Nanak shrine in India’s Gurdaspur district in Punjab. He recited poetry at the event with effect to show the peace that India and Pakistan can achieve through the opening up of the corridor.

Mr Sidhu courted a major controversy when he mocked at the Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh.
