Harmanpreet Kaur Becomes the 3rd Cricketer to score a T20I century

The Indian women’s cricket team captain Harmanpreet Kaur scored her first T20I century during a Group B match against New Zealand in the ICC Women’s World T20 on Friday. During her scintillating knock, Harmanpreet Kaur slammed 7 4s and 8 6s to lead India to a daunting 194/5 in 20 overs. Harmanpreet Kaur


The skipper, 29-year-old Harmanpreet Kaur, thus became the first Indian player to score a T20I hundred in women’s cricket. She is now the third player in world cricket to score a T20I International century. During her 51-ball stay in the middle, Harmanpreet  sent the New Zealand bowlers on a leather hunt as she recorded boundaries at will and also with ease. She slammed seven 4s, eight 6s before eventually being dismissed for 103. She now has the most number of sixes for India in a T20 innings, beating her own record of five against Sri Lanka in September this year.Harmanpreet Kaur


Her knock helped the Indian eves post a match-winning 194/5 in 20 overs. This was India’s highest ever score at the World T20. Praising the captain, Rodrigues said, “Harry (Harmanpreet) played a brilliant knock and that helped us reach such a good score. We were just focusing on building a partnership.”
