ANAMBRA male Cricket team on Sunday defeated their Kwara counterparts with six wickets in the ongoing 19th edition of the National Sports Festival (NSF).
Kwara side had won the toss and elected to bat scored 64 runs all out after 15.4 overseas in the first innings.
Anambra scored 66 runs for the loss of 4 Wickets after 15.5 overs in the second innings.
However, at full time, Anambra won by 6 Wickets with Chukwudi Mgbojikwe who scored 3 Wickets after four Overs as man of the match.
Speaking, Emeka Onyema, former President of Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF), said that the turf was the best in North/West Africa.
Onyema who commended the players and officials for a good work, said the best state of the turf was highly advantageous.
He however called on Cricket players and officials to develop the passion for the game, saying passion is the secret of his excellent landmark in cricket.
